the restaurant
gypsy cooks here. meze in the middle and plates that keep moving, the atlantic on one side of the menu and the bosphorus on the other. eat on the terrace with the boats, or at the long table inside.
the story
a customs warehouse on the cintura, shut for years, with the tejo three metres from the door. it holds a kitchen, a gallery, studios where artists actually work, a floor people work from, and a hall that has been a concert, a dinner for eighty and a drawing class in the same week.
